Learn to carve your own stamps and hand print mini greeting cards! Led by Bay Area artist Naomi Takata Shepherd, you can use one of her designs or create something of your own to make your greeting cards 🌺
We will discuss carving techniques and planning, use a lino cutter to carve our designs into soft blocks, and use an ink pad to print our designs. With our small workshop there will be plenty of time to talk with the instructor one on one about your art, techniques, and any questions you may have. You’ll end the class with at least one stamp and a batch of mini greeting cards!
Sunday, October 12
4:30 - 7 PM
Ticket: $95 all supplies included!
For participants ages 18+
The workshop fee includes $35 worth of materials that you will use during our workshop and take home with you so you can continue your block printing journey: a 4" x 6" block, lino cutter, an archival ink pad, and 10 mini greeting cards. Additional supplies are available for purchase.
This workshop is led by Naomi Takata Shepherd, a Bay Area based artist and the creator behind 6 Degrees of Hapa. Naomi works in a variety of mediums including block printing, hand-drawn/digital illustration, book arts, and watercolor. She draws inspiration from the natural world, her heritage, and tasty snacks.
