For 43 years, the Atomic Cafe in Little Tokyo was an iconic diner serving up Japanese American eats. From 1977 onward, it was a hub for punk rockers, with a jukebox spinning new wave, punk, classic rock, and Japanese songs. I wanted to pay tribute to this community space, which closed in 1989, and demolished to make way for a Metro station in 2015.
